Ekaterina Beletskaya is an artist living and working in the Museum District of Richmond. She graduated with a degree in painting from the University of Virginia where she first started exploring themes of fables and magical realism on a grand scale. Nowadays she works a bit smaller but with expanded media, ranging from graphite, marker, pen and ink, paint, collage, and more. Recent work is a lighthearted exploration of the natural word and draws inspiration from scientific illustration, memories, and the beloved Slavic folktales of her childhood.
