Artist Statement

Two of the best pieces of advice I was given about depicting the human figure in a drawing or painting are to never lose the essence of the figure's pose or energy... and know when to stop. Sometimes the muse hits you just right early in the art process and if we're lucky we recognize it and celebrate it.
