Artist Statement

This tapestry was done for an exhibition that included tapestry weavers from the SouthEast and from the NorthWest.  We were asked to visually respond in a personal way to the idea of these two regions of our country.  I chose to work with the idea of the verdant qualities of the regions - lush forests and fields, large flowing rivers and shimmering sunlight.
