Artist Statement

Sarah Masters is a visual artist who lives in Richmond, Virginia. Her work ranges from drawings on paper to mixed media three-dimensional constructions. Her interests center on materials and process, and her work is strongly influenced by an early background in science. Sarah’s work is shown regionally and is found in private, public, and corporate collections. She holds degrees in Botany from Duke University and in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a Fellow of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Currently, Sarah teaches adult classes at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond.
