Bio/Resume

Santa Sergio De Haven attended Pratt Institute and graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in sculpture. She studied with Al Hansen and Keith Sonnier in the late 60's. Her drawings, paintings and collages have been exhibited in New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC and Richmond, Virginia where she studied through the 90's with Eleanor Rufty and John Morgan. Her work in various media reflects an ongoing exploration of form and line and a constant engagement of the hand and eye with drawing most recently inspired by her studies of "the dance" during rehearsals of RVA Dance Collective at Dogtown Dance Theatre.
