A Virginia native, Michael has a BFA and an MIS in studio arts from VCU. His artwork has been exhibited and collected widely throughout the US and abroad for over 50 years. He is an emeritus council member of 1708 gallery, the Founding Chair of The Iridian Gallery at Diversity Richmond, Coordinator of the Project Space Galleries at Plant Zero and a former officer and member of artspace gallery. He also teaches drawing and painting at John Tyler Community College. He is currently in residence at Cite Internationale in Paris, France.
