Martha Prideaux is a Richmond-based artist who creates abstract paintings using oil and cold wax medium. She teaches at the Studio School at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Her goal is to create work that balances the effect of human choices with chance, futility, nature and other forces that we may not be able to control, understand or recognize.
