I earned my BFA in Crafts from the University of Georgia in 1972. Over the years, I have attended workshops and exhibited locally, regionally and nationally in various shows. My work is represented in local and regional galleries. I am a member of Artspace and numerous arts organizations in Virginia and elsewhere.
I hand build all work and using a combination of slab, pinch and coil. I use a combination of acrylics, slips and/or glazes for surface finishes. I bisque fire, then final fire using an outdoor barrel kiln filled with newspaper and sawdust to yield the smoky, finish.
