As a landscape artist, I strive to push past the prosaic "prettiness" associated with the genre, to depict what lies beyond the world of phenomena.
My landscape paintings are meant to evoke familiar scenes or nostalgic memories from the viewer's life. It is my hope that by overlapping the images in their mind with the subject on the canvas a unique “emotional landscape” can be created for each viewer.
I am a native of Richmond, Virginia, with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. My work has been represented in dozens of shows in the Mid-Atlantic region.
