I have always documented and drawn what I see! When sketching outside, I love to escape through my drawing pad and later complete these images in my studio. At any given time folks may approach me while I sketch and ask a multitude of questions or not say anything at all. I enjoy this moment because I am a very talkative person and love to explain my creativeness. I am never happier seeing the world from different visual perspectives.

In the painting of "Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training Camp, 2019," watching a Spring training exhibition baseball game was a blast but sketching while viewing the game was more exciting. The stands were tight and one of the fans looked over my shoulder and thought my drawing was fascinating and almost spilt his beer on it. He thought I was an Architect hired by the Pittsburgh Pirates!

There is a great tavern in Coles Point Virginia where everyone hangs out. In the painting of "Coles Point Tavern" I sketched my heart out when the tavern was closed during a rainstorm where the best point of view was from the parking lot sitting on my towel! My best drawings are created from unknown situations, even during thunder storms!

My emotions are seen through my work. Drawing outside allows me to be as expressive as I can be and document events that are in progress and happening. My motivation comes from the quality of the work that I produce and the environments that I am in.
