Leslie Banta – "A/PART"
A series of small scale cast boxes and macro stereoscopic photos exploring ideas of solitude and isolation, safety and threat
Virtual Exhibition
Artist Statement
Concrete and resin echo everyday building materials, connoting the impersonal business office or high-rise while also speaking to stability, strength and permanence. We can hold a small space in our hands, but only occupy it through our imagination.
Does solitude threaten separation, or does it offer safety, repose?
