Artist Statement

Acrylics and gel media on canvas. Seen from either point of view, it's a depiction of hope. The intent is to relate to the viewer on a deeper level than colorful figures through "emotionalism." The idea is to help them think about a time when they were the one being helped or showing compassion to another human being, and asking how if feels at that very moment. It's also important that the title spells out the there is "a" way, rather than "the" way.
