Artist Statement

"Meditations on the Middle Ground" is a series focusing on the essence of place. In this work I have focused on interweaving my experiences within the natural environment to create an alternate reality. These hybrid landscapes represent an otherworldly environment and evoke a feeling of a primordial, untouched or abandoned landscape.

Each 5 to 7-foot piece is immersive and embodies chapters of my experiences. The mystery and ambiguity within each urge the viewer to expand their vision of reality.
