Artist Statement
"Strange game, the only winning move is not to play." - Joshua, Wargames
I am a mother of three children who is replaying (frequently) childhood games. These drawings are each about perfectionism, fear of failure, strategy, and luck within the format of a simple game and within the context of meaningful life experiences. In these drawings I try to share moments of offense, defense, isolation and peace. The drawings are deeply representative of my past and how I learn to reconcile that past daily. I view these drawings as a kind of poster art of my endurance.
