Elisabeth Flynn-Chapman presents "Elements," 20 photographic images of exterior architecture in our Frable Gallery. Navigating "principles of rhythm, balance and harmony," Flynn-Chapman references both the "complexity and simplicity" of the project, taking architecture and reconstructing it through her lens. Her photographs isolate elements of her subjects, creating surprising and beautiful compositional arrangements. Flynn-Chapman enjoyed a five-decade long career in education, teaching Art and Architectural History and has authored articles on Baroque Architecture, Thomas Sully and The Bible in Western Art. A world traveler, Flynn-Chapman exhibits regionally, maintains a studio in both the Plant Zero Art Building and ArtWorks and is a Member Emeritus of artspace.
