In another piece (of art), “Tom Albright/Ken Stabler: The Snake Meets the Snake,” I have proportionately re-created all of the moves of Ken Stabler (Raiders) in the 1977 game against the San Diego Chargers. By measuring my studio and creating a natural ratio between it and a football field, I followed the Snake's every move up and down the field, and sideways too, so that at the first down intervals, I stopped to work at the nearest machine. I started at the opening kick-off with a two-ton burl. The resulting Louis XIV writing desk was recently shown in the furniture section of the Football Hall of Fame in Ohio.
