Curator's Statement:
Transmission creates a dialogue between Richmond artists and the rest of the world. Most of the shows at my gallery consist of one local artist and one from out-of-town. Whether it is a common approach to materials or content, I bring them together in hopes of creating lasting, meaningful communication that will benefit us all.
I opened Transmission in 2007. It has not yet been a year and I have exhibited paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, photography, performance pieces, and a sound installation. Artist from all over the U.S. and Europe have shown their work here. My goal is to continue expanding. Future plans include collaborations with out-of-town galleries/artists spaces.
