Artist's Statement
After a number of years of very little time devoted to art, I started taking guitar lessons. A year to the day from my first lesson, images came to me in that dreamlike state between sleep and wakefulness. These guitar drawings represent the embodiment of the human spirit, form, and motion. Coming from the depths of consciousness and subconsciousness, they combine the essence of music and art by representing physical and emotional expressions. The guitar is the vehicle for exploring the inner depths of the human psyche, particularly the female.
