APRIL   2006  PERFORMANCES  Tulsa Drone with Glorious Company and Caspian April 6, 2006 Thursday at 8:00pm, Tickets $6 Opening the show will be GLORIOUS COMPANY, an out-rocking instrumental trio with a fine pedigree (featuring ex-members of Sparklehorse, Broken Hips, Mao Tse Helen, Hindu Affiliate, and many, many other of the area's most daring bands). Comprised of Chris Gallo (drums), Brian Murchison (guitar and keyboard), and Paul Watson (bass guitar and cornet), their music features compositions and improvisations informed by rock, pop and racket. Their sound runs the gamut from rock to beautiful late-night ballads. They describe their music as " a soundtrack from a dark movie about trains and rivers." Tulsa Drone looks to release it's second CD "Songs from a Mean Season" this summer. It was recorded in the Summer 2005 at Altamont Recording in Asheville, NC and is produced by Scott Minor (Sparklehorse).
